Chocolate Surprise Cupcakes

1 pkg chocolate cake mix
3 eggs
½ c vegetable oil
8 ounces cream cheese
1/3 c powdered sugar
1 whole egg
6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Preheat oven to 350.

Beat together cake mix, eggs and vegetable oil. If the cake mix doesn’t call for a full ½ cup oil, add it anyway. Set cake mix aside. Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar and egg; stir in chocolate chips. Fill cupcake liners ½ full with cake mix, and put 1 tsp of cream cheese mixture on top.

Bake according to cake mix directions. Cool completely and frost with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting.
